The first suburb to be built in Caloundra South and to be Arbour’s new neighbour is named “Baringa”. It is all systems “Go” as the bridge at the extension of Bellvista Blvd, most likely to be renamed Aura Blvd, is due for completion by the end of September. An artist’s impression of the new bridge appears below. Click on all pictures for a larger view.
At the top of the page is a map of Baringa with some labels which should put the new suburb and its major features into some sort of context. The ‘pink’ line indicates the ‘interim new road’ which will link Bellvista Blvd to the Bells Creek Arterial and will be the route motorists will take in the first instance. A ‘temporary roundabout’ will be built where the road meets the new Arterial. It is expected this second entry/exit road could be up and running for motorists by Christmas this year.
The “R” on the map above designates a new ‘Recreation Area” with paths, bikeways and areas for a range of outdoor fun activities. Following a request from BeCA, this will also be the site for a ‘Dogs Off Leash Area”.
As sales progress, the ‘final’ and major link will be built to fully connect with the Bells Creek Arterial.
We thank Stockland for the pictures which were presented in an update provided by Stockland at the recent BeCA Public Meeting.
