It has been hectic around the new Bambini Childcare Centre on the corner of Stornaway Avenue and Lomond Cres prior to its “Open Day” scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday) between 10 am and 2 pm. Work continues at a frenetic pace to get everything done on time.
It seems everything inside is clean so workers are under no doubt as to what condition their footwear should be in before entering the building. See a larger view of the photo left.

BeCA has liaised with Bellvista Tavern Management, a local resident and Pratt Property to hopefully resolve an issue with car-park lights staying on at Bellvista Market Place until 12:30 am. Since the Tavern has opened lights in the car-park have stayed on longer to ensure patron and worker safety.
Everyone seemed happy with an 11:30 light turn off time and hopefully Pratt Property will adjust the lighting accordingly. Bellvista Tavern was keen to see the lighting come on a little earlier. BeCA has been advised that as of 2:30 pm Friday afternoon the timing of the lights at Bellvista Market Place have been adjusted as requested.
BeCA thanks Pratt Property for their prompt attention to this issue.
The parks and gardens are looking great with new plantings in the park beside the Bellvista Market Place.
BeCA noted an industry was relocating out of Caloundra Airport owing to uncertainty of the airport’s future. The company is relocating to Maroochydore Airport.
This strange method of mowing was occurring near the waterway beside Cougal Circuit. Tall grass was being cut, a task which the local birds are extremely pleased with as it has uncovered a new source of food for them.
Parks mowing has improved dramatically this year with the new contractors being in charge. Despite extremely heavy summer rainfall the parks are looking at their best.
The ripped shade cloth over the playground near the tennis court has been repaired again.
