Building continues at a busy rate at Bells Reach and Arbour. With new releases opening up, building companies appear to be very busy right now. An area on the north eastern corner of Bells Reach is open for sales and building right now in the Amber Drive and Scarlet Drive area. The photo above gives an idea of the kind of things which are happening down there. Stockland are feverishly finishing off pathways and final infra structure work ready for the houses to be completed and new residents to move in.
Even more pathways are beginning to open up, a boon for walkers, runners, dog exercisers and cyclists.
Meanwhile down Arbour way the finishing touches are being put on to new home sites in Olive Crescent. This area is close to the new bridge works for the Bellvista Blvd extension where it crosses Lamerough Creek.
Council lawn mowing sub contractors LGM have again descended upon Bellvista and given all parks a mow and a tidy up of edges. Sunshine Coast Council now maintains all parks and gardens in Bellvista while Stockland still have responsibility for all parks and gardens in Bells Reach/Arbour. Eventually Bells Reach and Arbour parks maintenance will be handed over to the responsibility of Council.
LGM have a program in place with predetermined dates for cutting the grass in all the Bellvista parks. The frequency of cuts depends on the time of year and to some extent the current weather conditions. Crew holiday time has an impact as well. So we can expect more frequent cuts during the wetter times of the year when the grass just seems to grow as you look at it.
The grass along the roadside on the Bellvista side of Bellvista Blvd is maintained by a different Council mowing contractor. The large open area in Bellvista just to the north of the Dumbarton Drive/Bellvista Blvd roundabout is still owned and maintained by Stockland. It has its own contractor to do that piece of park.
All in all, it is very busy in our little part of the world.
