BeCA has again been forced to further expand the website’s bandwidth allocation. BeCA is ‘charged’ by the number of people who visit the website. This charge is minimal but we have had to extend the bandwidth allocation for the third time this year.
This is great news as it means even more people are visiting the website for information updates. BeCA is delighted with this need to extend bandwidth. This is the third time this year we have had to extend the website’s bandwidth.
The Newsletter ‘The Connector’ is in the process of being sorted and ready for delivery. Keep your eye on your letterbox over the next week or so for the latest copy. The vast majority of the Newsletter content is lifted directly from the website so by keeping your eye on the website means you already have the vast majority of information at your fingertips before the newsletter is even delivered.
We are extremely fortunate in having The Connector printed at no cost. We currently run off around 2000 copies. This conservatively costs in excess of $200 per edition, or around $1600 each year. With these excessive costs in mind and so as not to put off our kind printer, BeCA is considering making changes to the presentation of the newsletter to conserve costs. To reduce the size of the newsletter from its current A3 size to a smaller A4 version would slash costs astronomically.
