Find below the text of an email forwarded to Chopperline at 11 am this morning. Some editing has been made to the email to remove names.
I am not surprised at the email I have received from an extremely upset resident who on this special day was trying to watch the solemn Anzac Day ceremony on his TV from Canberra.
That we could have two helicopters doing repetitive circuits first thing on a day such as today defies comprehension and any semblance of community awareness!
I guess as the current guidelines go any helicopter company carrying out repetitive circuits on Anzac Day morning is within guidelines. There is obviously something amiss with the guidelines.

“Anzac Day 2014 9.15am-10am approx.
Chopperline has two aircraft doing circuits over suburban Caloundra, the most solemn ceremony commemorating this day is being direct telecast from the steps of the Australian War Memorial in Canberra – the address is being constantly disrupted.
Also an address from the Governor General was impossible to listen to. So much so that I have switched off. It is apparent that no day or time would be considered by this company as inappropriate.
Sporting events on this day commence after noon as a mark of respect, which apparently Chopperline management lacks. This company encourages a ‘Fly Neighbourly’ approach.
I fail to see how we could be expected to support that.”
