BeCA has received notification that residents will be able to dispose of old TV sets, PC’s and Printers at no charge. When the turning off of analogue TV service occurs in the next month or so, there may be many people upgrading to digital TV sets and getting rid of their old analogue sets.
In the past there has been a recycling charge for this service. This can be done at no charge at the Caloundra Landfill and Resource Recovery Centre, Pierce Ave, 2 – 6 March.

Unofficial local recordings indicate Bellvista experienced a further 240mls of rain since it began late last week. Local experience indicates that much of this water now gets away more effectively since Bells Reach has been developed. One local street which would be expected to flood with such heavy rain has failed to do so this year with both the extreme rainfall events we have had.
The SCRC has released a series of “Flood Maps”. Click HERE for the SCRC flood map of our area. It shows that almost all of our estate is above “the area which may flood in an extreme flood event”.
