SCRC has sub-contracted the annual cleanup of the main Bellvista Lakes to be done today. It should take the best part of the day to thin the water lilies and other growth to prevent the plants taking over.

BeCA questioned a worker at the lake today as to why there wasn’t any Azolla this year. It was explained that this is a quirk of the red Azolla plant. One lake will be infested with the algae while another lake 5k’s away is clear. Such is the story for Bellvista during 2013.
