BeCA Public Meetings are conducted quarterly at 6:30 for a 6:45 pm start usually (but not always) on a Monday evening 4 times per year. This is the Public Forum to which all members of the Bellvista and Bells Reach Communities are invited and is usually held at the Bellvista Meeting Place in Lomond Cres (just near the lakes) in Canavan Gracie Recreational Park. Notice of this Public meeting is given in the BeCA Newsletter.
The Public Meeting may have a “Speaker” who covers issues relevant to the Bellvista community.
Our Sunshine Coast Regional Council Councillor endeavours to attend Public Meetings and addresses the meeting on SCRC related issues effecting Bellvista and Bells reach. If the Councillor is unable to attend in person a report is provided on issues effecting residents.
BeCA Public Meetings are usually conducted in March, May, August and November (AGM).
The Bellvista and Bells Reach Community Association (BeCA) Management Committee usually meets on the first Monday of the month and deals with issues arising from Public Meetings and seeing to the everyday running of the Association. They meet at 7:00 pm usually at the home of one of the Committee members. There is no regular Committee Meeting in the month of a Public Meeting. From time to time there may be an extra Committee Meeting called to cover pressing issues.
