History of the Bellvista and Bells Reach Community Association
The journey for the Bellvista and Bells Reach Community Association began with a community meeting in June 2008. At this meeting it was decided that forming a community association to represent the interests of Bellvista would be a worthwhile activity.
A dozen energetic members of the community met over a series of workshops to nut out ‘what’ exactly such a group would focus on, ‘how’ it might achieve it, and what name would best represent these ideals. From this, a draft constitution was prepared, the name Bellvista Community Association Inc. proposed and a general meeting called to share the concept and detail with everyone in Bellvista.
The August General Meeting saw the adoption of the draft Constitution, the decision to incorporate the association and the adoption of the name Bellvista Community Association. A name which quickly became known as BeCA.
At the General Meeting the inaugural Management Committee was elected. Eight wonderful volunteers stepped forward to steer the establishment of the BeCA.
From there, the Association has developed with the publication of a regular community newsletter, a logo and the building of relationships with neighbours, elected community representatives and essential services.
All of this was achieved with tremendous support from Stockland, the developer of Bellvista and Bells Reach. From the initial invitation to meet to the use of the Sales Office and the development of this web site, Stockland has been instrumental in enabling BeCA to get off the ground with such clarity and goodwill for the future.
In 2015 Bellvista welcomed Bells Reach to the Association which from then on was known as the “Bellvista and Bells Reach Community Association”.
