Isn’t it a nuisance when your credit card won’t register on a POS at the local IGA?
This is what happened to an older local couple recently. They had had limited luck online with their bank trying to sort out their bank card. They thought they had it sorted and off they went to purchase a few groceries at the local IGA. When it came time for payment they presented their card.
But it was refused!
The told the check out person they would need to return later, do their shopping again and pay with cash.
It was then a kind middle aged customer in the queue just behind them said, “Don’t worry mate, I’ll cover the amount for you!”
They collected their goods, thanked the gentleman profusely and offered to pay him in due course.
They were told not to worry, it would be his ‘good deed’ for the day.
Having been hit recently with some nasty medical news, they elderly couple headed homewards with smiles on their faces.
On behalf of BeCA to the person who paid for their groceries,
“Thanks mate, you certainly made someone’s day with a small act of kindness”!
