106 Army Cadet Unit is part of the Australian Army Cadets, which is Australia’s largest Youth Development program, funded by the Australian Defence Force and run by the Australian Army. We parade every Friday night, during the school term, from 6:30 to 9:30 at Meridian State College in their Sports Complex.
We give cadets a military like experience to include: Fieldcraft, map reading, first aid, navigation, drill and adventure training. Free uniforms, equipment, training courses and annual camp. The unit is run the same an Army sub-unit using the same rank structure as the ADF with senior cadets training junior cadets, supervised by adult Army Cadet Staff.
We insist on cadets being neatly groomed and attired.
